Just over a week ago I put it out to all of you, my awesome readers, to help come up with a trail name for our little guy. If you’re new here, you can read all about what a trail name is and why we want one in this post. The response was more than I could have asked for so early in this blogventure and we received some great suggestions. A few readers even pointed out the need for a trail name that will grow with our baby boy, nothing that would be too embarrassing for him as he gets a little older, but will still fit him now at the wee age of 3 months.
Without further delay, here are all of your great ideas, from Facebook and the blog, categorized for easy reading…
Some nature-inspired names:
- Basil
- Caneton
- Canard
- Colt
- Hérisson
- Petit Suisse
- Scout
- Trail Baby
Some famous people and characters:
- Chip (from Beauty and the Beast)
- Huckleberry
- Winston (for Winston Churchill)
Some places we’ve lived:
- Edmundston
- Kingston
Some other fun names:
- Beauregard
- Big Beau
- Mr. Man
- Mr. Mister
- Pip Squeak
- Squeak / Squeaks / Squeaky
And…Granola!
Oh there’s SO many good ones! But we don’t want to create too much of an identity crisis, what with his real name, our cutesy pet names for him and a trail name…
So we can only pick one name. A name that will grow with bébé, a name that suggests adventure and the outdoors, a name for the trail…
Drum roll please…
You’ve lived in Edmundston??? As in NB? I live about 20 minutes from there!
I think Huckleberry is the perfect trail name!! What a cutie
We lived there for a year and LOVED it. I want to go back.
